Beards and beers and boxer briefs.

European living in Chicago. Too old for Tumblr.

Hi again! Tired of suggestions yet? I got a new translation of one of the my favorite French works that I read as an undergrad: Montesquieu's Persian Letters. You read French, so I think you'd enjoy this, as it is insightful, witty, and beautifully written. You also said you work in Middle Eastern studies; while it might not be your area, I revisited a book I enjoyed, Mahmoud Ayoub's The Crisis of Muslim History: Religion and Politics in Early Islam. Also, you're as lovely and sexy as ever!

When I have a break from school reading I will definitely look into the Montesquieu! So much reading, so little time as I’m sure you understand :) My fun book at the moment is the Polish translation of L’Île mystérieuse

I’m a piler, not a filer.
